In 2013, Velociteach hired us to launch an SEO program. Leaders in project management training, Velociteach had coached over 200,000 project managers to pass the PMP exam, but growth was stalling as the competitive landscape changed. A six-month SEO project launched a decade-long partnership defined by innovative programs, a candid consultative relationship, and increasingly strong results.

The Challenge

Velociteach was a well-known project management training company led by respected industry experts. Their training content was second to none, but their website wasn’t attracting or converting enough customers.

Our Approach

Velociteach tapped us in late 2013 to lead a six-month SEO project aimed at improving traffic and lead quality. The early results opened the door to a larger role in 2014, replacing their search marketing agency, which offered high volume but no meaningful insight. We built a new PPC strategy that delivered location-specific class ads, supported by custom landing pages that quickly outperformed their website in clarity, conversion rate, and cost per lead. With leads averaging around $48, we scaled the campaign across more regions and continued refining page design through testing and analytics.

In 2015, they asked us to reimagine their outdated website. The new design made their offerings clearer, more credible, and more human. We organized their full catalog—bootcamps, live online classes, corporate training, self-paced courses, and study materials—into a structure that invited exploration and cross-promotion. Testimonials, expert bios, and student success data built trust, while new engagement points replaced the one-size-fits-all “buy” flow. Inquiry forms, social follows, tracked phone calls, quizzes, blogs, and a podcast gave users more ways to connect—and gave us more data to work with.

In 2018, their online course division was in decline, held back by a 12-year-old ecommerce site and legacy systems. Our two-week discovery surfaced quick wins, and we launched a focused microsite that highlighted their top six courses. Revenue jumped over 800% in the first month.

The Results

Our first win for Velociteach, an SEO program, improved lead flow and reduced cost per lead within the first six months. The next year, our microsite increased revenue a hefty 800% within the first month. Later, we helped them achieve a 615% boost in revenue while the average monthly sales climbed from $13k/mo to $80k.

During our decade-long partnership, we worked on dozens of other projects from sales collateral, presentation, and videos to strategies for InSite, Licensing, and the launch of the Velociteach HR brand.
